Providence Church is looking for volunteer tutors for Monday evenings, 6:00pm-7:30pm at 6339 Glenwood Ave, Raleigh, NC 27612. Session dates to be determined.
As a reading tutor, you will work one on one or in small groups with K-5 students. Our tutors make a BIG difference in the lives of our students. No prior teaching experience is required to be a tutor, only a willingness to give kids an appetite for reading!
Tutoring is a 75-90 minute, once a week commitment. We ask that tutors commit to attending at least 80% of our available shifts.
To be a reading tutor, you must meet the following qualifications:
1. Attend Tutor Training
Respond to Tutor Training under "Opportunities" to be eligible to respond to the shifts below.
2. Complete a Background Check
You will receive instructions to complete a background check after Tutor Training. You will receive an email notification once your background check is approved.
Once you complete the steps above, you will look for the "Tutor Students at Providence Church" opportunity for upcoming volunteer shifts (dates TBD).
