Read and Feed needs volunteers to assist at the Junior League of Raleigh Annual Touch-A-Truck event which is a fun and educational opportunity for families and children of all ages to touch, climb on, and explore construction equipment, emergency response vehicles, mobile machinery, and more.
Read and Feed will be participating by bringing one of our Mobile Classrooms(RVs) to showcase at the event. Families will be able to tour the RV, learn about Read and Feeds mission, and children will be able to select a free book from our bookshelves to take home and keep!
Volunteer responsibilities will include monitoring a table outside of the RV and managing the flow of families getting on and off of the RV, monitoring the bookshelves and refilling as needed with book reserves, and general set up and clean up!
